You know, most of us these days have cell phones. Even old EB and TC do. And while we're not big on ringtones and the like (we've never bought any) we do like nice wallpaper backgrounds - but not enough to fork over $5.00 to buy them. Hey, how much can a 2" x 2" picture be worth? I guess to some they're worth $5.00. TC would rather buy cheap beer and EB would rather by bird seed. But that's another story and I digress. Rarely do I stumble upon a web site where a freeware program is offered that I feel the author does a really good job of describing his wares (no pun intended). I always feel the need to embellish a bit, maybe even hyperbolize (is that a word?). I must admit, this author does a darn good idea of describing his program and even lets you see it in action via a little flash demo. Nice guy and concise too. Maybe I'll write him and get some concise lessons. I surely need them bad, don't I? Here's what the concise author has to say about Pix2Fone: "Pix2Fone is a free service that lets you make custom cell phone wallpapers, backgrounds and logos in a snap. You can use it online or download as extension for MS Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox. I now have a lovely scene on my cellphone instead of that gorpy orange Verizon thingie. I was sure tired of looking at that for the last two years (Verizon gives me a "free" new cell phone every two years for only about $120.00!). If you have a cell phone, like pretty pictures, and don't have any money left to buy wallpaper for your cellphone because you're using all your money to pay your cellphone bill or buy gasoline, then this week's Freeware Pick Of The Week is for you. Just think, you'll save $5.00 on buying cellphone wallpaper and you can use that money to buy a half-a-gallon of gas or pay for all that texting you do. Enough of this! If
