Icons - Just The Right Size (Windows XP Home and Professional) Did you know in Windows XP you can change the icon size to suit your individual taste? You can and here's how: Right mouse click on your desktop and choose the "Appearance Tab" from the menu that pops up. Now choose "Advanced" and a new window will open. Under "Item" use the arrow beside it to choose "Icon." Its size will show (default is 32). Now use the little up arrow to change its size by choosing a larger number. Then click OK. Click OK again and you will be asked to wait while windows changes the icon sizes. Don't be alarmed if your desktop turns gray momentarily while windows makes the changes as this is normal. You can choose smaller sizes too and/or resize the font! You may want to experiment with different sizes until you find the size that works just right for you. Click here for a picture tutorial.
