Using the Vista Snipping Tool To Capture Screen Shots
We've covered the Windows Vista Snipping Tool previously. But it has other cool features we haven't covered yet.  Digiknow, that you can use the Snipping Tool to capture any object on your screen and then highlight, save, or send the image by email, all in one quick session?  The Snipping Tool allows you to use the mouse to capture free-form shapes, rectangles, whole program windows, or entire screens. After you capture a snippet, it's automatically copied to Snipping Tool's editing window. You can annotate, highlight, save or share your email by email.  And digiknow, that if you clip from an Internet Explorer window, you can save the snip as an HTML file, with the URL automatically appended to your image. Pretty cool. The URL clips do not work with Netscape, Firefox, or Opera though. Quick way to open the Snipping Tool?  At the bottom of the Start Menu, in the "Search" form, type Snipping Tool.

Here's a slice of one our desktops captured with Vista's built-in Snipping Tool. The highlight was added to the image with the Snipping Tool and the image was emailed all in one quick session. Cool icons for the "Cloudeight" and "My Stuff" folders were created with our very own FolderMagic program.
