Microsoft Office's Remove Hidden Data add-in will remove any invisible data that is hiding away in any Office documents you may have. There are different versions of the tool for different versions of Office. It's easy to find the right tool for your version of Office. Just go to Microsoft's Office Home Page at http://office.microsoft.com and enter remove hidden data in the search box. When the appropriate files is found for your version of Microsoft Office, just download the small executable (exe) file and install it. After you've installed the file, open any Office program (like Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, etc. ) click "File" (on the toolbar) and then "Remove Hidden Data". You will be prompted for a new file name. If you're sending the document to someone, make sure you use the new "cleaned" file and not the old one.
