Save 20% On Registry Mechanic & Stop Computer Crashes!

We've received more unsolicited reader testimonials for Registry Mechanic than we have for any other Cloudeight-recommended and endorsed program. Each week we receive dozens of reader comments about the big difference in computer performance Registry Mechanic has made. These unsolicited comments come from readers just like you who relate their own experiences with Registry Mechanic to us. It's easy to see why so many people have written - Registry Mechanic makes computers run better and can save you a lot of money helping you avoid expensive repair bills!

Here are a just two of the many comments we received this week about Registry Mechanic.

ScreenshotA Comment From Judith
I kept reading positive comments about Registry Mechanic in your InfoAve Premium Newsletter so I finally bought it for my year old laptop. That was about six weeks ago, I've had no problems with it and last week I bought another subscription of it for my 3 year old PC. It found/repaired 908 problems. Registry Mechanic is one tool I would recommend for sure. I use IE 7. Judith - happy computer user.

A Comment From Jim R.
"...before I knew about Registry Mechanic, I downloaded a different registry cleaner. In the scan it found almost 1000 errors. When I got Registry Mechanic, it found 600 errors. I have often wondered about the difference. Then I got your wonderful 3rd e-book. You speak often of registry cleaners that cause problems. I believe that I was saved from a problem by going with Registry Mechanic. You two are the greatest! Take Care, Jim R..."

Registry Mechanic uses a high-performance detection algorithm to quickly identify missing and invalid references in your Windows registry. These problems can occur for many reasons including being left-behind after the un-installation or incorrect removal of software, by missing or corrupt hardware drivers, or orphaned startup programs. This Week's Rant

Noodles, Banjos and More!

Last weekend when I was dragged kicking and screaming to a local mall, I decided to pay attention and actually look at the stores that are in the mall. Don't ask me why. I'm usually walking around outside the mall as if there were an outbreak of airborne botulism descending upon the mall shoppers inside. This time however, for whatever reason (and with my sort of mind sometimes there is none), I decided to study how businesses lure people into parting with their hard-earned money.

In today's cool-speak world, where cool people say "ciao" instead of "goodbye" or "fridge" instead of "refrigerator", it seems that business people have, once again, turned people's desire to be "cool" into dollars.

Do you really think there's some suave dude named T.J. Maxx for instance?

This Week's Top Questions and Answers

Karen decides to add a second internal hard drive
Hi. I've been reading your newsletters for years and I've learned so much! I've just joined The Hill - and I'm having so much fun - and learning a lot too! After reading up on it, I've decided to take the plunge and install a second hard-drive. I'm not very computer savvy, but I have installed RAM in my computer and it wasn't so hard. But I have a feeling that installing a second hard drive in my computer wont be as easy. Any tips you can give me since I've never done anything like this before? (I'm using Windows XP.)

Brenda has everything else, does she need WinPatrol too?
Should I download WinPatrol if I  already have Avast, Spy Doctor, Zappit, Spybot?  Of course these show up on the toolbar at the bottom at startup along with my picture programs, Dell Support, music jukebox, HP digital imaging monitor and I have tried to get rid of these to no avail.  Thanks.  Brenda

This Week's Top Tips and Tricks

Third-party Firewalls Run Amok
Windows XP and Windows Vista

More lately than ever before are we receiving emails from frustrated folks who want to protect their computers but are so confused by all the conflicting advice they receive, they install more security programs on their computers than they need and end up with a computer that's out-of-control and nearly impossible to use. So, what's the point? If every time you try to download something, install something, or use something on your computer, you're asked "Do you want to run this?" or "Do you want to install this?" or "Do you want to allow this program to access the Internet", the average person is going to become so confused that eventually they'll click "Yes" because otherwise they can't do anything with their PCs. And, that's a shame. And it's not their fault.

Just Because a Site Runs an Ad Does Not Mean The Site Recommends the Product
Windows All Versions

This week a flash advertisement on USA Today was hacked and spread all kinds of badware to all kinds of users, who, trusting USA Today assumed that the ad was something endorsed by USA Today. It was not.

The point of this tip is not to scare you out of you wits or teach you never to click on an advertisement, but to again remind you to use common sense, keep your Windows updates current, use a good anti-virus program, two good anti-spyware programs and keep them updated!

Had visitors to USA Today used common sense and done the other things we list, they would not have been bombarded with multiple installations of badware. But, they were, and of course now the fear mongers are running amok with this story - blaming it on the vulnerabilities of Flash ads, Windows, and everything else they can think of.
