In case you're not familiar with Windows Mail (not Windows Live Mail!), Windows Mail was the email program in Windows Vista that was an updated version of Outlook Express (that was just like Outlook Express). If you moved from XP to Windows 7 you probably have never used Windows Mail. But it's basically the same Outlook Express. Windows Mail is the successor to Outlook Express...

When Microsoft introduced Windows 7 -- they (for some reason) included the Windows Mail folder and files, but disabled the program itself. This forced users to find a different email program and most people chose Windows Live Mail. Windows Live Mail looks similar to Outlook Express and Windows Mail - but it has few of the features that made Windows Mail and Outlook Express so popular.

THERE ARE SOME FORUMS ON THE WEB THAT HAVE VARYING INSTRUCTIONS ON HOW TO SET UP WINDOWS MAIL SO WE WANT YOU TO BE AWARE OF THIS IN CASE YOU WANT TO TRY THAT OPTION.

PLEASE READ THE INFORMATION BELOW AS YOU ARE AGREEING TO THIS WHEN YOU MAKE YOUR PURCHASE:

*Note: We will set up Windows Mail  but if a Windows Update disables any of the settings, we cannot be responsible, but will provide written support for re-activating Windows Mail. We have not seen an update affect this since May of 2010.  Also, if you do a system restore prior to our installation of Windows Mail, you will lose the setup.  Running Reimage may require a re-set of your Windows mail which would require you to purchase a 2nd session. We cannot be responsible for changes you may make to your computer that affect this setup.

We cannot be responsible for changes you may make to your computer that affect this setup and we do not offer a refund once we have installed,  successfully setup and tested Windows Mail.

Browser 'send page or link by email" may not default to Windows Mail, so you may have to paste your link into an open mail. Also, we may not be able to associate .eml to Windows Mail, so if you have a reason to open direct from .eml, the mail may open with Windows Live but will not affect your Windows Mail.

Music can be embedded in your email, but if you have a 64 bit computer, the file path for music has changed so our stationery will work but the music will not embed. If you get a message "one or more pictures cannot be found" when sending a musical stationery, sent it anyway. .. it just means the music file cannot be found but the picture will be intact and if scrolling, the scrolling will continue to work fine. We are recreating stationery downloads with new file paths for Windows 64bit as time allows.   You can use our stationery, but be sure you choose the Vista/Windows Mail stationery!
