![]() Changing Icons We have had many folks write to us and ask why the little Cloudie icon changes back to the blue "e" (default Internet Explorer Icon) when they make a desktop shortcut for Cloudeight Members Only Pages. The reason this happens is because the ico file (little green Cloudie) is in your temp files; as soon as you clear your cache/temp files, you lose the ico file and cute little Cloudie is replaced by the plain blue "e" icon. This tutorial is going to teach you to change the icon back to Cloudie and keep it that way! You can do this with any of your icons once you learn the technique from this hands on tutorial.
The first thing you need to do is make sure you have created a desktop shortcut to your Cloudeight Members Only pages. To do this, go to our Members page, right click in an empty area of the page, and choose "create shortcut" from the drop down menu. Click here to get to Members page so you can do this. (It will open in a new window, so to get back to this tutorial just close Members page after you create your desktop shortcut) Next, you need to save a copy of the Cloudie icon to your hard drive. To do this, right mouse click on the link below, and choose "Save Target As" and save it to a folder on your hard drive (Make sure you do not Left Click and try to save it!). We will save it to My Documents for this tutorial; you can save it any place you want. Go ahead and save the icon as instructed. Now that you have all the necessary files, lets get on with the tutorial. When you are done with the tutorial, you can go and make the actual change to your Desktop Shortcut and you will always have little Cloudie there to lead you to your Members Only Pages!
