Changing Icons

Your desktop icon will have Cloudie already, if you just created it and have not cleared your temp files, but if you want to make him permanent you will have to "assign" a permanent icon to your desktop shortcut.

Right mouse click on your desktop shortcut and choose Properties from the drop down menu.  This is a hands on tutorial, so go ahead and click Properties to get to Step 2.
