Question #1
Who invented the "slurpee" machine?
Omar Knedlik of Coffeyville, Kansas invented
the first frozen carbonated beverage machine in 1961. He called his frozen
carbonated beverage the "Icee" and began selling them in the local Dairy
Queen he owned. At some point he hired a refrigeration company in Dallas to
manufacture the machines for him. Southland, the parent company of 7-11, is
also headquartered in Dallas. Just a few years later, a marketing team from
Southland led by Billy Bob Tennison, learned of these machines and began
developing their own frozen carbonated beverage, the "Slurpee", which was
introduced to the public in 1966. All of which leaves the great unanswered
question: "Icee" or "Slurpee"?

Question #3
What was the original retail price of the Apple I computer?
$666.66*
* (according to Steve Wozniak - co-founder of Apple
Computer) "I've always collected good phone numbers with
repeating digits. It goes back to when I ran the first
dial-a-joke in the SF Bay Area and needed good numbers. For
example, I once had 255-6666 for dial-a-joke. We first knew
that the Byte Shop of Palo Alto would be buying the Apple I
computers from us for $500 each. Steve came up with
something like $650 or $666 or, quite likely, $667, which is
a logical 4:3 ratio. I spotted this and added .66 to keep
all the digits the same. I'd never attended church nor read
the bible so I didn't know of any negative connotation with
666. Neither did Steve Jobs. We were quite surprised when
people told us. Sorry, but no connection."

The Tropic of Cancer and the Tropic of Capricorn each lie at 23.5 degrees
latitude. The tropics are the two lines where the sun is directly overhead
at noon on the two solstices - near June and December 21. The area bounded
by the Tropic of Cancer on the north and Tropic of Capricorn on the south is
