(creation notes)

When I was a very young child, perhaps 4 or 5 years old, I can remember my grandfather taking me for walks along the breakwall at a place called "Battery Park" (not the one in New York). I would see people fishing and reeling in fish. One morning I woke up with the idea that I would like to go fishing. So I found a long tree branch, some kite string and a paper clip and made my own fishing gear. It had just rained so the night- crawlers were plentiful. I collected some nightcrawlers and put them in an old soup can to use for bait. The only problem was we were several miles from the bay, so I went fishing in the storm sewer, dropping my "line" through the holes in drain cover. Needless to say I was not very successful.
