On Sundays, when I was a child, it was a tradition for my grandfather and I to take an afternoon walk along the piers and breakwalls at Battery Park on Sandusky Bay. In those days, it was not as developed as it is now, and families and young lovers would go there on Sunday afternoons for picnics. There were charcoal grills, swings, slides, and plenty of room for the kids to run around. One of the views from the main boardwalk, looking westward, was much like the picture scrolling across the top of this demo. You could look across the bay and see the city of Sandusky in the distance. And looking northward you could see Cedar Point Amusement Park, its roller coasters rising up majestically above the bright blue water.
