While searching for this week's freeware pick almost picked something
else instead of EASEUS Data Recovery Wizard. Why? Because the Web site
is rather confusing. It seems this programmer has poured his heart and soul into
this program and sales aren't what he expected. He seems to want to make
the program even better, so for now he's giving the program away free
and asking users for suggestions on how he can improve the program and
learn what features users would like to see added. Even as it is now, we
think Data Recovery Wizard is one of the best data recovery programs
around. We tried it. It's exceptional. So, we debated on whether to
feature Data Recovery Wizard or something else. We decided to feature it
and clarify some of the information on Data Recovery Wizard's confusing Web site.
First, the program normally sells for $69. That's pretty cheap for a
professional data recovery program. Some can run into hundreds of
dollars. Yes there are other freeware data recovery programs, like
Recuva. And they're pretty good but they can only recover easily
recoverable data. Data that hasn't been overwritten - or not overwritten
more than once. Data Recovery Wizard really is a professional recovery
tool that can even recover data from a formatted hard drive.
Second, the program appears to be free for a limited time - until
February 1, 2010. After that, we assume it will be $69. Apparently
though, this developer has extended this offer before, and he may again.
If you want a professional data recovery program, you
would be wise to get it before February 1, 2010.

As you can probably tell, the
author's first language is not English. But the program is one of the
best software recovery programs available. Certainly the best free
software data recovery program that we've ever tried. Remember: A
data recovery program isn't something you'll use every day, but there
will be times when you'd you like to recover some accidentally deleted
files. This program is very easy to use, and it should be in your
software toolbox because someday you're going to need it.
