"Joyce Birkenstock received her training at the University of Dallas, the University of Iowa, the Norton Art School, the Art Students League, and the Vermont Studio Center. She is affiliated with the American Artists Professional League, the American Society of Portrait Artists, the Atlanta Society of Portrait Artists, the National Association of Women Artists, and the Painters of America, and is a Signature Member of the International Artists Society. Joyce has appeared in Who’s Who of American Women and Who’s Who in America.

Joyce has received many prestigious awards, including the Disney Productions Purchase Award; the Merit Award at the National Portrait Seminar in New York; the Grumbacher Silver Medallion at the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe 85th Annual event in New York; the Peoples’ Choice Award at the Human Images Exhibition at the Broward Art Guild in Ft.
