Data Microsoft Collects From Windows 10 Users

Nothing [SHOCKING] here. Microsoft collects data from all Windows 10 users. For some reason, tech heads love to blast Microsoft for this. However, Google and Apple have been doing this for years, and Microsoft is now just catching up.

So…we’re not going to give you our opinion of Microsoft’s data collection and telemetry, we’re going to send you to a Microsoft Technet page where you can read all about it yourself. It’s written in plain English, and we’re not going to presume to tell you what to think. That’s for you to decide. But we think it’s important for you to know, just like we think it’s important for you to know as much about your computer as you can.

One thing we will tell you, before you take off to read the article, that in the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update you’ll have more control over Microsoft’s data collection. In the Creators Update you’ll have a privacy dashboard making it easier to see what data is being collected and more control what data is collected from you. Microsoft says it wants to be more “transparent”.
