I will admit. I fell in love with this site and the program because of the free beer logo. But the program is even better than the logo. There’s a story you need to know. I know you all love stories.
Back in the day, the only way to make professional flash animations and flash movies was to spend about $900 for Adobe Flash. And when you did, you realized that you may as well have taken that $900 and thrown it out you window and let the birds eat it. Because once you paid your money and got the program and then you realized you’d you either have to travel to a monastery in Tibet, and live in seclusion for 27 years eating crickets and chives, while you learned the program, pay some geeky yuppie $500 a hour to teach it to you, or just go to Control Panel / Programs / Remove Programs and get rid of it and watch your $900 go down the cyber drain while you cry in your not-free beer.
I’m actually surprised that someone in this cynical, greedy world has pity and compassion. I’m happy to tell you that the developer of Vectorian Giotto is such a man. He will save you $900 as well as a trip to Tibet – and you won’t be chirping like a cricket. With excellent tutorials, examples and instructions – you’ll be making interesting flash movies and animations in, well, in almost a flash.

In this cynical a world you don’t find many people with compassion and a desire to save other people’s sanity and money. This man is such a man. Grab this freeware program while it’s still free – because altruism doesn’t seem to last long in this world. It may not be long before greed and cynicism gobble up this guy too.
