I downloaded this neat program, and it converted my home videos perfectly, however when I took them to Windows Movie Maker I got an error message saying I need to check “Download Codecs Automatically” in the options dialogue box…my dilemma is a missing Options dialogue box.

A guarded HURRAY – I think you have answered my prayers!! I have for some time been trying to find a method by which I can convert my old videotapes (that were viewed through a VCR) and am having no luck. My ION VCR2PC – which was definitely NOT free – has a Record max of 2 hours and most of my movies are longer than that. Can your Freemake Free Video Converter do it for me? If so, how will I get my longer videotapes into my PC? This probably sounds very amateurish, but that’s just what I am. Thank you for your help
