Three Tips Tuesday > Part 11 > Three More Quick Windows Tips
It’s Three Tips Tuesday and time for more quick and easy Windows tips. Today’s tips are all file and folder tips. And they’re all as quick and easy as can be.
1 > Quickly open an Extended Context Menu
Open an extended context menu by pressing and holding down SHIFT Key while you right-click any file or folder. This is especially helpful for those using Windows 11 with its “frugal” default context menu.
2 > Quickly open the Properties dialog of any file or folder.
To open the Properties dialog of any file or folder quickly, Hold down the ALT key and double-click on any file or folder.
3 > Skip the Recycle Bin
Any file or folder you delete will automatically be sent to the Recycle Bin to make it easy to recover in case you accidentally deleted it. To delete a file or folder without sending it to the Recycle Bin, hold down the Shift key and tap the Delete key while selecting the file or files you want to delete.
