Financial fraud can be a tricky and elusive foe to face. Even the federal number crunchers find it hard to present a realistic snapshot of just the pure magnitude of these terrifying crimes. Part of the problem is that financial fraud is a huge umbrella under which many crimes, both corporate and personal, can fall. This broadly defined crime essentially includes any situation where someone engages in a financial transaction, with the intent to deceive for the purpose of personal gain.
