Create and share your own themes with Windows 7

By | November 16, 2012

I’ve never been a big fan of themes, but many of you are. I like a plain simple desktop background color (black or dark purple). I know, I’m an old minimalist.

But something you might not know is that you can create themes using Windows 7. That’s right. You, the artiste, can design, save, and quickly change your computer’s themes (desktop background, window border color, sounds, and screen saver. And if you’ve created a really great theme – like one featuring your favorite pictures, you can share your theme with family and friends — so they can enjoy your handiwork too!

Microsoft has a great video and instructions for those of you who would love to create your own Windows themes and share them with your family and friends.

I have been creating my own themes for sometime. I am 72 and live in the country. I love taking photos of the animals around me. The changing seasons and I do my own editing etc. All the themes I make I share with my husbands computer downstairs in his man cave. He still does not know how to change themes but he hollars hey Maw Bear time for a new one and I take care of it for him. I love all the animals and colors thanks for all your great information love your Geek guys and info emails keep up the good work.
