You’ve heard of spelling bees, quilting bees, honey bees, and, ah yes, the birds and bees. But have you ever heard of the music bee? I didn’t think so. There’s a story here, and I’m going to tell it to you – because, well, you know how I am.
About a week ago, I was helping some nice people with their computer (Shameless plug for Cloudeight Direct Computer Care here). They were having trouble with Windows Media Player 11 on Windows XP. These folks, like many other music-loving people, had iTunes. There was nothing I could do about the situation with WMP and iTunes – they weren’t playing well together. Whenever I do a repair job, I always do my homework. I had looked around for a really easy-to-use music player that synchronized with iTunes and could also import music from iTunes, folders, etc. I already knew the limitations of Windows Media Player. Windows Media Player leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to playing MP3s and syncing with other programs — like iTunes. Plus, Windows Media Player 11 doesn’t play so nice with some Windows XP computers. And yes we tried reverting to the previous version of Windows Media Player. So I had a better MP3 player ready to go – one with all the features I knew these nice folks were looking for. I know you won’t believe this but — I’m going to make a long story short.
They loved MusicBee – and so do we. And if you have a large music collection, or you use iTunes a lot, or if you just like to listen to music – MusicBee might just be music to your ears. It’s not only a great MP3 player, music organizer that plays nice with iTunes – it plays Internet radio stations too.

It’s pretty much the same as iTunes. Already have that and know how to use it. Why do I want to learn a whole new system, that does essentially the same thing?
