Today I Found Out

Abraham Lincoln said: “I don’t think much of a man who doesn’t know more today than he did yesterday.” And we think he was right. No matter how old you are, or how much you know, you should never live a day in which you don’t learn something new. I keep telling EB this, but she keeps forgetting to learn something new. How do I know? I know because she asks me the same questions over and over. I try to teach her, but the wisdom I impart gets lost in somewhere in that jumbled, aging brain of hers.

Anyway…

Today we’ve chosen a site from which you can learn something new every day. Today I learned about the rules for Peep Eating Contests, which were too disgusting to even publish here. Yes, yes, I know we do have some disgusting grammar errors and so on, but that’s not the kind of disgusting we’re talking about.

Anyway…

If you like learning, you’ll love our site pick today. It’s a virtual repository of little gems, interesting tidbits, and lengthy screeds. So if you’re the type who likes his or her learning in little sips (What the heck are you doing subscribing to this newsletter?), you’ll find tasty little morsels on this site which take only a second or two to digest. If you’re the kind who likes details and verbosity, you’ll find that on this site too.

Anyway…

Here’s an example:

Cloudeight InfoAve Newsletters

Go forth friends and fellow humans and sip, quaff or guzzle knowledge freely dispensed by our site pick today. And that site pick is called Things I Found Out Today. And you can zip right on over there by visiting this odd-looking URL http://www.todayifoundout.com/

Go eat some Peeps, EB. But follow the rules. If you throw up, you know what you have to do.

    Hi guys,
Love the info, have been a Premium member for longer than I care to remember (lol), thats a great site you found, but (and its not your fault) surely Alaska isn’t the most eastern state of the US? Although if I’m wrong (and thats a very good possibility) I’m sure someone brilliant (like TC) will correct me.
Take care and keep up the absolutely fantastic work.

PS If you need a holiday may I suggest Australia? It’s beaut here mate!!

Sorry, they are right. look at the map and see that a part of the Aleutian Islands (part of Alaska) is over the date line. So if you go West to East, you will be in the most Easter part of the US and then come back to the Western Part.

I wish you would stop picking on EB!!! She’s a great gal who fixed my computer right some good, and if she ever comes to Nova Scotia I will treat her to Nova Scotia Mussels in garlic sauce, lobster with garlic butter, and Moosehead Beer. Now don’t that make you wish you were as good as EB ???

This page has a LARGE green download button. I hope no one mistakes it for the website of the day. In case no one reads small print it says “clicking this download button to the left will start the download at our site Advertisement by Wisedownloads.com” I think it is an ad for PDFCreator. SNEAKY again. Don’t click it.

Bev, this is not a download page or download site. These is not the same as when a site is basically a download site or a page for a program download. These are the kinds of things you need to think about — everyone does. You are not visiting this site to download something, so why would download buttons matter? These are the logical things you must think about — not just leap to conclusions that because a page has big green download links on it that someone is trying to deceive you. This site is not a site you’d visit to download software; the download buttons, therefore, are irrelevant. You know they’re ads.
