Three Fun, Amusing or Interesting Sites You’ll Want to Bookmark
All computer, tablet and smartphone users

We’re not saying these sites are educational, but they’re interesting and / or fun. Well, at least we found them interesting and/or fun. We hope you do too!

Dumb Laws
Here’s a site that lists some of the dumbest laws ever passed by state and federal (U.S.A.) legislatures. You can view the laws state-by-state if you like. And if you’re not in the USA, you can sit back and laugh at the goofiness that prevails in American law.

In EB’s home state, for example:

A woman isn’t allowed to cut her own hair without her husband’s permission.

It is legal for a robber to file a law suit, if he or she got hurt in your house.

Persons may not be drunk on trains.

That last one tells you why EB never travels by train. She flies. I’ve seen her broomstick 🙂

By now I’m sure you’ll want to verify those Michigan state laws above as well as browse though dumb laws in all fifty states. That might take you a few hours, so you might want to grab a sandwich, something to drink, and get comfortable.

Luckily, for you, it’s not yet illegal to visit www.dumblaws.com .

Someecards
Once in a while I like to yank EB’s chain by sending here a (safe) e-card from Someecards.com. I find the humor biting and the bitten is always EB. She lets things get to her.

Some of these cards are not very nice, but some are very humorous and true. So if you’re looking to revive the old habit of sending e-cards to friends, you’ll want to check out www.someecards.com  . We again warn you that some of these cards are risqué and some not so nice. But if you have a good sense of humor and a strong stomach, you’ll certainly want to browse around and send a few e-cards. We will not be responsible for family feuds, lost loves, or broken friendships. We’re just the messengers here.

Secrets Explained
Do you believe in magic? Magicians say that good magicians never reveal their secrets. But we are here to tell that’s not true. For example, you can learn how David Copperfield made the Statue of Liberty disappear. Well, not really, but created the illusion that it disappeared.

Here’s an excerpt from the site – to view the video mentioned, you’ll have to visit the site:

“…Of course he didn’t really make it disappear. It was a trick, but how was it done? He didn’t move the statue, but could he move the audience instead? That seems quite an easy job compared to what he claims he had done. The platform with the audience could easily be turned into a wrong direction without the audience noticing it. When the curtain goes up, the audience is turned so that they cannot see the statue (or maybe they are even stooges and just act to be amazed). In this direction, there are lights set too, but without the statue in the middle. The helicopter moves to the new direction while it is hidden behind the curtain. Then the process is repeated and the platform is turned back so you can see the statue again.

Here is a video explanation of the illusion…”

You’ll love this site if you’ve ever wondered how magicians pull off their seemingly real illusions. I have tried so many times to make EB disappear but I’ve never been able to pull off that trick. Maybe something on this site will help me do it.
