As I was reading the questions in this poll, I wondered How do we know whether we are more secure, or less secure?
I have assumed “secure” means “secure from homeland terrorists attacks since 9/11, and the creation of Homeland Security and the Patriot Act? We “felt” secure before 9/11. Are we more/less secure now, or is it we just don’t “feel” secure?
We have much less privacy…much less unprotected privacy. and too many of us simply GAVE it away. Technology is wonderful, but it has been turned against us in too many ways.
If I wasn’t on the list before, I probably am now that I have read that!
