Despite its colloquial name, and regardless of the fact you probably think you’re already being inundated with anti-this’s and anti-that’s – anti Em? anti Em? Now you’re rolling your eyes at us and wondering how much longer before we slip into complete insanity and utter unintelligibility – debating whether you even want to read anymore of this article. Hold on, there. Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware isn’t anything like anti-Em, or any anti-spyware or anti-virus program you’ve ever seen before.
If ever a wiz a wiz there was, this is a wiz because because, because of the wonderful things it does. Yeah, we know we’re goofy, but you don’t get this sort of light-hearted merriment in any other Windows Tips and Tricks newsletter. This is what makes us worth $11.95 and some of the others let you set your own price hoping you’ll cough up $199.00 a year so they can be like GM and go get food stamps and fly around on corporate jets.
As a matter of fact, we just read a competing newsletter this morning and decided to unplug our computers and become hermits in the mountains of Utah. Everything in that particular newsletter, was written by Chicken Little and crew. By the time we got down reading about all the dastardly things on the Internet and how helpless we are against them, we needed three stiff shots of Jack Daniels on the rocks.
Er, um, where were we? Oh yes, the Wizard of Oz. Because of the wonderful things Malwarebytes’ does, it’s a wizard. We are sooooooo smooth – see how neatly we tied everything together – including the anti-Em stuff you thought was just more babbling?
Whenever we get ourselves in a verbal quandary, we always prevail upon the software developer to, not only provide us with the freeware to feature, but also an astute ululation regarding the actual freeware product devoid of unnecessary verbal meanderings. Luckily for us – and more fortunately for you, this group of dedicated developers are wry and succinct. (Joke: What’s the opposite of Cloudeight? Answer: Wry and succinct! ha ha!).
With all due accolades now neatly put asunder, we present to you – the developers of Malwarebytes’ Anti Malware:
“Have you ever considered what makes an anti-malware application effective? We at Malwarebytes have created an easy-to-use, simple, and effective anti-malware application. Whether you know it or not your computer is always at risk of becoming infected with viruses, worms, trojans, rootkits, dialers, spyware, and malware that are constantly evolving and becoming harder to detect and remove. Only the most sophisticated anti-malware techniques can detect and remove these malicious programs from your computer.
Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware is considered to be the next step in the detection and removal of malware. In our product we have compiled a number of new technologies that are designed to quickly detect, destroy, and prevent malware. Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware can detect and remove malware that even the most well known anti-virus and anti-malware applications fail to detect. Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware monitors every process and stops malicious processes before they even start. The Realtime Protection Module uses our advanced heuristic scanning technology which monitors your system to keep it safe and secure. In addition, we have implemented a threats center which will allow you to keep up to date with the latest malware threats.”
Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware is the fastest of all anti-malware scanners we’ve tried. Not only is it fast, it uses heuristics to detect products which avoid being tagged “spyware” or “adware” because:
a.) They have lots of money and advertise on major search engines and with major advertising networks. A lot of the time search engines and ad networks take the money and don’t check out what they’re advertising.
b.) They have crafty advertising departments which come up with absurd definitions of spyware and adware so that only the most nefarious Trojans and viruses would qualify.
c.) They have very highly paid sharks (lawyers) that swim around the ‘Net ready to sue anyone who dares call their spyware programs “spyware”.
Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware doesn’t care how many sharks they employ, or what kind of advertising staff they have, or how much money FunWebProducts spends with Microsoft or Yahoo or Google. These guys are the brave souls in white hats who aren’t afraid to take on the sneaky bunch in black hats who have money to burn and six-shooters on each hip.
We scanned our computers with Malwarebytes’ Anti-Malware and found that even our main computers, which are stuffed to the gills with hundreds of thousands of files, took less than 20 minutes to scan. Amazing. Plus, we found a couple little bits of malware we didn’t know we had. Nothing serious, just remnants of some prior experiment π
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware works well with your current anti-spyware program(s) and your anti-virus program. You can use it even while your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs are running. It will help you keep your computer free from all sorts of malware including, spyware, adware, Trojans, worms, viruses, and rootkits. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware even makes removing the AntiVirus2008 Trojan a snap -something even some of the best-known anti-spyware programs cant’ do.
And to think, all this is free. And the company that makes it is, like a few other companies on the Web (Cloudeight, Bill P. Studios, and many others) who are really dedicated to keeping you safe and free from the bad things on the Web. Companies who don’t believe that scaring the daylights out of you is the best way to keep you safe. We think the Web is fun, educational, invaluable resource –Β and we don’t think you need to be scared to be safe.
