Worldometers

Hey! Hey! What do you say? How many people starved today?

Hey! Hey! What do you say? How much food did we toss today?

I’ve often thought that the sanest people in the world are the people we lock away and call insane. They may be the only sane ones. The world’s sure gone crazy. Doesn’t it seem like it to you? While people are starving, we toss thousands of tons of food into the garbage. We’ve got about 15,000 days left until the world runs out of oil. Still we’re burning it up like there’s no tomorrow. It’s almost like the world’s being run by Alfred E. Newman — “What? Me worry?”

Worldometers gives you live, instantly updated statistics about many things. It’s quite interesting as well as quite disturbing — unless, you don’t care. If you don’t care, that’s fine. Life’s a journey, a journey to share. I don’t why I care, but I do. It bothers me. It bothers me that the average worker makes $50 a day, while the average Fortune 500 CEO makes over $16,000 a day. Who in the heck is worth $16,000 a day? I can’t even get $6 a day out of EB.

Anyway, this site is just plain amazing to me. Maybe you’ll find it amazing too. Here’s a little sample of some of the least interesting stuff on this site:

“How it works

“The counters that display the real-time numbers are based on Worldometers’ algorithm that processes the latest and most accurate statistical data available together with its projected progression to compute the estimated current millisecond number to be displayed on each counter based on the specific time set on each visitor’s computer clock. Sources are carefully selected to include only data published by the most reputable organizations and statistical offices in the world. Please refer to the frequently asked questions to learn more about the mechanism…”

Hey, Thanks for reading. This doesn’t have anything to do with Worldometers. Even though it was interesting. Actually I am writing because I did link to the site to clear the files in Flash history and junk. but when I opened it no matter what I clicked on it was empty. There was nothing for me to delete clear or anything else. I am just wondering if all are like mine.
    Thanks so much
