You two are a great combo–SO SMART–STILL SO FUNNY!☺
I just installed the new 5K Player but when I clicked on my desktop shortcut, nothing happened. ?? Is it because of Windows firewall? Is it really “SAFE” to allow this around/through the firewall??
(See, told ya I’d always be a novice when it comes to computers+
Thanks again & again & again & …eh well, you get how grateful I am by now, right?
OOPS, Sorry! I got in too big of a hurry to holler for help this time–all is working well now. Thanks again!
TC&EB Find Great Player.
I have been using the 5K Player for several weeks and I am impressed with the various functions ‘all in one box’.
I tested it initially with many different types of media and wasn’t disappointed.
TC, I always love your writing style. My son is updating me with an Apple AirPad2 and I hope this will be included. My iPad2 was ruined by using an aftermarket charger cord. Now the iPad won’t use the Apple charger cord. And now the aftermarket charger cord takes forever to open apps, and has ruined Sudoku games for me by doing weird things. I’ll be 80 this month, and still have lots to Learn. My brain seems to be stuck at 15. Even though I am an Apple user, I still use your page as my home page, I still refer people to your site, and I still read your rants. Thanks for being you, and Darcy, too.
I have just tried the 5k media player and for a FREE media player, it would be the best I have tried. I have a high definition HC-X920m Panasonic video camera and I put 5k media player to the test on some of my unedited video clips and the results was quite exceptable, good clear picture with good color, but not as smooth a play when the camera is panning as when played with Power DVD, but of course Power DVD is NOT FREE!!
I do quite a lot of home video and are always interested in anything to do with video production and playing.
But are not very interested in in steaming— er—screaming—er I mean streaming video / audio which I know nothing about, or very little.
And that reminds me—-?? And the Apple AirPlay streamer which I “”don’t”” know nuthin’ about.— Then you must know somethin’!!??
Good on ol’ EB and TC—as they are always trying to look out for us poor old computer dudes and I will repeat, The 5K media player is the best FREE media player I have tried.
Going to download and give a try as some videos I get from my daughter’s phone I can’t play.
