Hey! We’re just the messengers here. But apparently Wally*World — um we mean Wal*Mart — will be matching some other stores’ Black Friday prices — a week early. So we’re only reporting what we’ve read on Gizmodo. If they’re right then you might not have to get trampled as you rush into your favorite store to get those lighted Sponge Bob slippers with the flashing night-lights to guide you through the hall on the way to the bathroom.
Anyway, here’s the Gizmodo article which you may or many not find illuminating…no pun intended:
Beginning this Friday, November 22nd, Walmart will be matching select competitor Black Friday deals online and in-store. Announced discounts include a 50″ LG HDTV for $448 and new release video games like Call of Duty: Ghosts for $49. [Walmart]
We will of course be covering the best of these deals on Friday and through the weekend, transitioning into our proper Black Friday coverage on Monday. Stay tuned to Gizmodo for all things Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
Clarification: This post is announcing that this Friday, Walmart will selectively put items on sale for the discounts their competitors will have on Black Friday. Any in-store manual price-matching is secondary and extremely YMMV.
