You know, I’ve always wanted to put a video of EB dancing on YouTube, but I could never get past the guards. But, then, serendipity reared its beautiful head and I stumbled upon a complete time-waster of a program called Pivot Stickfigure Animator. I knew the minute I saw it, it would be the perfect way to capture EB’s exotic dance routines. But, you know, I think the figure on the left is real close to capturing EB’s “I’m In The Money” dance.
This program is addictive, fun, and darn near as close to worthless as they come. But, it’s fun. Cheap amusement. Cheap entertainment (like TC). It’s freeware. Anyone can make animations of stick figures. And, you’re not stuck with just EB either. This little freeware gem comes with stick figure horses, clocks and other items you can animate and share with your friends (or enemies).
Once in a while it’s good to download something that is completely worthless, harmless, but a whole lot of fun for everyone. You don’t have to be a computer wizard, an artist, an animator, or even know how to use a graphics editor. Without even reading the help files or instructions, you’ll be able to figure this program out. And if you can’t, even this newsletter isn’t going to help you!
Here’s what the Softpedia review has to say:
Pivot Stickfigure Animator is a unique software, that allows you to create stick figure animations easily and without any artistic skills. You can move the sections of the sick figure and easily create a chain of animation frames that can be previewed as you go. You can use more than one stick-figure in the animation, and even create your own stick figures using an easy to use visual editor that lets you assemble objects out of lines and circles. In addition, you can optionally set animation size, speed and more. The result can be saved as animated GIF file. Fun and easy to use, surprisingly well featured.
We’d love to send you off to the author’s (Peter Bone) page to read more and download this great program – but like so many freeware author’s who gave away great stuff – it appears he’s disappeared from the web. And we’d love to send you to Softpedia’s site to download this program – but the ads and layout of the pages make it difficult to pick out the darn download link to the program. So we’ve downloaded it for you and uploaded it to our server so you can download it without any pain.
Anyway, I hate to ramble on (as you all know :-). If you want to have some fun then
download this Freeware Pick called
Pivot Stickfigure Animator. It won’t make the wannabe computer gurus among you happy, but for those that would like a break from disk partitioning, file sectors, dual-booting, recovery procedures, USB thingies, and all that other technical mumbo-jumbo, this program is for you. Fun for everyone. Safe for everyone. Easy-to-use and addictive. Go get it and have some fun today. Let’s have a contest…I want to see your animation of EB dancing…send them to me :). Oh, and as for the shaky part of the animation herein? I offer no excuses. I spent all of two minutes on it. I was either stick figures of EB dancing – or finishing this article. EB forced me to do that latter. I am so brow-beaten! Somebody help me!
