Some Things You Probably Didn’t Know About Chrome

Google Chrome is constantly changing. And sometimes in the version Google has released, they’ve disabled certain functions that might not be quite ready yet. But if you’re curious and want to see what they are, (and if you’re really brave are want to dare to enable them), type Chrome://flags in the address bar and press Enter. Before you decide to enable any of these disabled features, keep in mind they’ve all been disabled for a reason; if you enable one it may break your browser — so be adventurous and look, but use caution when enabling any of the features which are disabled by default. They may not be ready for prime time.

Here’s another command you can type in the Chrome address bar that will not only show you how much of your computer memory Chrome is using, but also the memory other browsers on your computer are using. Type Chrome://memory in the Chrome address bar and take a look.

Chrome offers a lot of address-bar commands. if you want to see what they are, type Chrome://about to see a list of them.

I tried chrome and didn’t like it. I was just wondering why you recommend chrome and never mention firefox. Just curious.

Tried Chrome on and off but always come back to FireFox. Seems too many functions and features are hidden in an attempt to make it look clean. Also when I look at the pgm size on Revo Uninstaller it is huge for a browser at 400+ mb compared to FireFox at 50+ mb. However I just got a ChromeBox for my media center so now I’ll have to get to know it better anyway.

You can’t remove IE from Windows. You can make it disappear but you can’t remove it.
