Google Patches Serious Zero-day Exploit in Chrome Version 103: Be Sure to Update Chrome Now!
According to ZDNet…
Google has released an update to Chrome 103 for Windows desktops that fixes a flaw in its implementation of WebRTC, which it warns is already under attack.
The issue that Chrome update 103.0.5060.114 for Windows addresses is a “heap buffer overflow in WebRTC”, referring to when the buffer allocated in the heap portion of memory can be overwritten for nefarious means.
WebRTC is the open web standard for building video and voice applications for real-time communications (RTC). It’s enabled by JavaScript in the browser and the standard is supported by all major browser vendors.
Google hasn’t offered any details on the bug, other than it’s been assigned the identifier CVE-2022-2294, has a “high”-severity rating…
It did, however, acknowledge there is an exploit for it circulating in the public.

Thank you, Cloudeight – for this valuable email. I did as you suggested right away and you were right – it was very fast and easy to do. You guys are priceless.
I’m not using Chrome except for their e-mail. I did try it a while ago, but went back to Microsoft. Do I have to update Chrome because I use only the e-mail portion?
Thank you guys, don’t know what I’d do without you.
I don’t use Chrome as my default but do use it from time to time to purchase games. I did go ahead and followed your directions and it said it was already updated. I will take their word for it.
Thanks for all your invaluable help. Not sure where I would be wandering around if I didn’t have you two to help me.
