Hide Your Mouse Pointer When You’re Typing

By | August 29, 2014

Have you ever noticed how distracting your mouse pointer can be, especially when you are typing? Don’t you wish there is a way for it to go away so you don’t have to stop every so often just to move the mouse? Here’s how to hide the mouse pointer to make it a little less distracting so you can continue typing with ease.

1. Click “Start” > “Control Panel”
2. Click “Mouse”.
3. Click “Pointer Options” tab.
4. Check “Hide pointer while typing” box under Visibility.

Works on Windows XP through Windows 8.x. In Windows 8.1 and higher, right-click the start logo, and click Control Panel.

Note Depending on versions of Operating System and a type of mouse, the process and result could be different.
