Windows 7 Quick Tip – Pin Control Panel to your Taskbar
Windows 7 – all versions (32 and 64bit)
You can’t pin the Control Panel to the taskbar using drag and drop. But you can add Control Panel to your Taskbar by doing this:
Open Control Panel, right-click its icon (when it’s displayed on your Taskbar), and choose “Pin this program to the Taskbar”.
Take a look at the screenshot above. Notice the Jump List (the top portion of the picture) displays the Control Panel items I’d recently used. If you use one or more Control Panel items you access frequently, you can pin any item to the top of the Jump List so it will always be accessible. See the picture below:
To pin any Control Panel item to the top of the Jump List, just right-click on the item you want to pin, and while holding down the mouse button, drag it to the top of the Jump List. There you go. You’ll have quick access to the Control Panel items you use most just by right-clicking the Control Panel Taskbar icon that you pinned to the Taskbar. If you use the Control Panel often, you’ll love this tip.
Great tip! You are always coming up with something I can use. Love your tips and love you!
