Snowden: The NSA Has Seen You Naked

Over the course of a seven-hour interview conducted with The Guardian in Moscow, Edward Snowden offered a glimpse into his life in Russia and said he’s game for being chained up in military prison if that’s what the future holds for him. The most interesting revelation Snowden disclosed, however, was about pervy NSA employees who he says routinely pass around naked picture of attractive people that they “stumble upon … during the course of their daily work.”

So what they do? They turn around in their chair and show their co-worker — and their co-workers says ‘hey, that’s great, send it to Bill down the way.’ And then Bill sends to George, George sends it to Tom, and sooner or later this person’s whole life has been seen by all of these other people.

“These are seen as sort of the fringe benefits of a surveillance position,” he said.

Now that he’s no longer in a position to look at naked photos all day, Snowden tells The Guardian he’s spending his time developing encryption tools to protect sensitive communications between journalists and sources, among others who’d prefer their messages remain private. Though he’d like to come back to the U.S., Snowden admitted the unlikelihood of that happening. He said he fears an unfair trail that might land him in a place like Guantánamo Bay. Though, he said, “if I end up in chains in Guantanamo, I can live with that.”

I am thinking about closing my cloud eight account coz it seems to be addressing more politics than computer tips. The helpful tips were so outstanding in the beginning & this is why I joined. But lately it is getting very annoying with all the Government notices & very little to do computers. I’m very sorry but it’s getting to be to much for me.

“Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel” ~ Samuel Johnson. That being said, the articles we publish that are sourced from somewhere else do not necessarily reflect our views — they simply caught our interest. If you want to believe that we agree with every article we publish from other sources, that’s your prerogative but that does not make it true. But it an example of what wrong with the world. Intolerance and ethnocentrism are never positive things — are they? Too many people like those who preach to the choir — but we’re not Fox News or MSNBC. Sometimes we publish controversial things that made us think — if making you think makes you dislike us, so be it.

These are not political comments as such, they are spoken of in the context that they affect computer users. It would take a lot more than that to turn me off Cloudeight

Please, keep on thinking. I happen to like something other than tips or tricks to keep me on my toes. No, I don’t have to agree with the views presented but it makes me think. Would never give you up over something like this, the delete button is always available.

It goes to show us that you cannot please all the people. I would never give up your site. I have learned to much. I know some out there like to grumble. Have a good weekend.

Keep up the good work ! ☺
