The Scintillating Starburst Illusion

Your eyes can deceive you!

It’s Saturday and time for a little non-computer fun. Today we’re featuring a new optical illusion we hope you find fascinating.

Most popular optical illusions have been around for a long time. That doesn’t make them any less interesting though. But once in a while, a new optical illusion comes along like the one we’re featuring today called. Scintillating Starburst.

The Scintillating Starburst optical illusion created by an artist with a background in neuroscience features a simple geometric pattern on a plain background. But if look closely, you should see a series of white rays emanating from the center. Like all good optical illusions, this one again proves that your eyes can deceive you. And once you see the rays, it’s impossible to “unsee” them.

Michael Karlovich created this design as the logo for his design company, Recursia Studios, then realized he had created a brand-new optical illusion.

Here is the Scintillating Starburst optical illusion. Do you see the white rays? Can you “unsee” them?

Yes I can see them. Is there a trick to “unseeing” them?
