What does Google know about you?

By | June 26, 2011

We like Gmail. We like Google Docs. We like a lot of things that Google does. Google is an innovator – they do what Microsoft used to do – create things that people like and want. Instead of creating what they want people to like and hope they want it. That being said, some really get upset because they think Google collects too much information – and they’re someone going to use this information to do ….? We don’t know. Make money? Steal your house? We don’t know what they think.

Anyway, if you’re concerned about how much information Google has about you, you can find out. If you have a Gmail account – that is. If you do and you want to see how much information Google has about you, login to your Gmail account and then visit:

http://google.com/dashboard/ (You can login from that page too).

You’ll see all of the data that Google has about you – all right in one place.

Yes – worry about the things that are really threats and not about Google or Bing or Yahoo. 🙂

I’m glad I don’t have much on there, bur Facebook is even worse since they started using “face recognition” software and have been caught changing privacy settings.
