Windows 10 November Update [Windows 10 Version 1909]
This is a reminder to all Windows 10 users that Windows 10 Version 1909 AKA Windows 10 November 2019 update is available for download from Microsoft.
Windows 10 version 1909 has very few new features, but it does contain all of the bug fixes, security updates, and other fixes that were released for Windows 10 version 1903. Another way to look at it – Windows 1909 is what version 1903 should have been.
What this means to you…
If you’re currently using Windows 10 version 1903.
Windows 10 version 1909 will be more kin to a service pack that a version update. It shouldn’t cause you any problems and should install smoothly and comparatively quickly.
If you’re currently using Windows 10 version 1809.
Windows 10 version 1909 will install as a full version update. You don’t have to update at this time since version 1809 is supported until May 12, 2020. Look for Microsoft to aggressively push this update for Windows 10 Version 1809 users starting early in 2020.
If you’re currently using Windows 10 version 1803.
Windows 10 version 1909 will install as a full version update. Keep in mind that Windows 10 version 1803 reached the end of support on November 12th, 2019, which means version 1803 users will no longer receive security updates and will be vulnerable to any new security threats that are discovered. So, if you’re still using Windows 10 version 1803, you should update soon.
