Windows Blue coming to you… in August?

Windows 8 launched last autumn, but according to several news reports, Windows Blue is coming to you in August 2013. It will be free for all Windows 8 users.

Microsoft continues its march toward “Apple-ization” –  as Apple for years has provided major operating system upgrades or updates free to its users. While MS has provided service packs to its users free for a long time, Windows Blue is more than service pack, it will be a major upgrade to Windows 8. Whether or not Windows 7 users can jump to Windows Blue and bypass Windows 8, we don’t know. In fact, Windows Blue may not even be its name. Right now it’s the code name Microsoft is using.

We all know from previous reports that Microsoft is working on a significant update for Windows 8 codenamed Blue that will be released this year. Now according to Win8china, Windows 8 Blue will be RTMd in June with preview available in coming months.

Windows Blue will include less UI changes and more under the hood improvements like low power consumption, better performance, better search integration, etc,.

    If they are making improvements they definitely should consider giving Outlook Express back to us!
