Help. I can’t find the email you sent me about how to reinstall my printer. I have an HP OFFICEJET 4652. I can’t get it to print anymore. Wireless I was able to have it print by plugging an unplugging each time I wanted to print which was a pain. I don’t know what has happened in the last few days. It won’t print from my laptop nor iPhone anymore. I do not have an install disc. You told me not to search my printer online to try to reinstall. You gave me the safe website to go to reinstall and now I can no longer find that email. Please send again. Thanks, Gayle
Hi Gayle. I re-sent the email I wrote to you on May 29, 2023.
I would like to use my Senior Pass to have you help me look for lost documents. I have auto-save w/MS Word & always works perfect. Yet one day when I opened the documents I have for our Fellowship/Coffee Hour after worship service at our church, the entire group of name for 2023 was gone (through/present date last week.) & also the last 1/3 or 1/4 of 2022. I’ve never been able to find them & it’s been almost a month. now.
Thank you very much.
Joann Bolen
Hi Joann. We fix Windows problems, remove malware, remove viruses, optimize computers, clean up computers, set-up computers, customize computers, make computers work better, fix browsers, problems sending / receiving emails, Windows configuration issues, etc. We don’t work with peoples’ personal files.
If you haven’t changed the auto-save location for Microsoft Word your files would be in C:\Users\user\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Word\. That is a hidden directory. If you haven’t unhidden files, folders, and drives, or if you had and then reset your computer or installed something that reset your file explorer options then you won’t be able to see that folder or its contents.
You can unhide it by typing “FOLDER OPTIONS” in the taskbar search and press Enter. When File Explorer options opens, click on the “View” tab at the top:
Tick the box that says “Show hidden files, folders, and drives”. Then click “Apply” “OK” at the bottom. Then you’ll be able see the file location where Word auto-saves files. If you need help getting to that location or showing Hidden file, folders, and drives, we can help you with that if you need help. But as to working with or locating you personal files that not something we normally get into because we can’t (understandably) know anything about files you create or where you saved them.
